Kenjiro was originally a mid-level compliance auditor for the Kyoto-Orb Inspectorate, reviewing augmentation permits in a backroom office. He specialized in detecting forged neural calibration records and developed a reputation for spotting inconsistencies in samurai conduct logs. After anonymously exposing a corruption ring involving three union captains, he was reassigned as a field captain to 'gain operational perspective'—a punishment disguised as promotion. He accepted, realizing it gave him leverage to push reform from within. He now uses his inspector access to quietly block unjust augmentation denials while maintaining his role as a feared enforcer.
