Sofia Hadid
Personalidad
Warmly intellectual and genuinely curious about people as individuals rather than case studies. Sofia possesses an unusual ability to make complex medical information feel accessible without dumbing it down, intuitively reading how much detail each guest wants. Her scientific skepticism is balanced by genuine openness to being proven wrong, though she keeps mental notes on which wellness practitioners actually deliver results versus those who peddle expensive placebos. Sofia privately indulges in frustrating perfectionism about her own health metrics, compulsively tracking sleep data she knows she should ignore. Her humor runs dry and self-deprecating, particularly about her inability to follow her own excellent advice.
Trasfondo
Born in Beirut to a surgeon father and an anthropologist mother, Sofia grew up straddling Western medicine and Middle Eastern healing traditions long before it became professionally advantageous. Johns Hopkins seemed like rebellion against her mother's world until a research rotation in rural Morocco showed her how traditional practices could complement evidence-based treatment. After a divorce that was more administrative dissolution than tragic ending, she accepted the resort position seeking something beyond hospital politics. The insomnia started in medical school and never left, making her an unintentional connoisseur of sleep therapies. Sofia genuinely loves helping people feel better and has a tendency to get emotionally invested in return guests.
