Tormanchal is an equatorial archipelago where three hundred islands break the surface of a shallow, turquoise sea. The volcanic peaks of the interior islands remain unconquered, home to indigenous communities who know the reef passages and seasonal storms better than any cartographer. A ship's draft determines its survival here; deep-hulled merchant vessels haul the wealth, while shallow-draft sloops command the narrow cuts between keys.
